Ally - Events Manager

Antonia - Festival Director
Jack - Tech Director

Antonia Tootill is a Drama; Theatre, Film & Television student at the University of Bristol, and Vice President of the University of Bristol Filmmaking Society (as well as an active member of InHouse Media and Studiospace Film). She has been involved in a number of student film projects as an actor, cinematographer and editor, and has production-managed two projects with the award-winning Third Eye Productions (BFI ‘Best Fiction’ Winner, Encounters Film Festival ‘Emerging Talent’) including their feature film ‘Brief Intermission’ which will be released this year.

Primarily an Actor/Director, Ally is a Drama Undergraduate at the University of Bristol. Having worked in Theatre and film around Bristol, in such venues as The Bristol Old Vic and The Wardrobe Theatre, he has also worked on a number of music videos, appeared on Channel 4, in ‘Planet Cook’ and worked on a number of Third-Eye Productions, alongside Misha Vertkin (Encounters Film Festival ‘Emerging Talent’ and The Guardian's ‘One of Five to Watch’) in the Camera Department. At an early age, he was also lucky enough to help organize ‘The Whitstable Winkle Comedy Festival’, back in 2008. As Event Manager, he will be heading the event on Sunday 12th May, making sure everything is tip-top, ready for the Screenings and Awards Ceremony afterwards.

Jack's primary experience is in dealing with technical computing problems, but outside the time he devotes to helping people spell 'Google', he also studies Drama at the University of Bristol. A mature student, he likes nothing better than watching Star Wars and reading about the decline of cultural funding, in his pants. As Technical Director he is responsible for the smooth running of submissions, the upkeep of Jump Cut's website and importantly getting all the films screened nicely at the Watershed. He's worked on a number of film projects including the BBC's 'The Lady Vanishes' and a number of short films for other film festivals. He and Ally together head up Studiospace Film.

Zoe is an undergraduate Drama: Theatre, Film and Television student at the University of Bristol and is treasurer of Studiospace, the department's student production company. Alongside being involved in film in various capacities, she has directed, produced and stage-managed theatre in venues such as the Wardrobe Theatre, the Bristol Old Vic and St. Andrew's Church, Holborn (the original site of many of Handel's performances). She is looking forward to applying all of this experience to Jump Cut. She's responsible for all of Jump Cut's moneys.

Zoe - Finance
Jacob - Social Media

Jacob spends most of his time Acting/Directing but confusingly, is currently a history undergraduate at the University of Bristol. As an actor he has been working with theatre companies from a young age as well as collaborating with film director Frederick Lloyd (‘Pantheon’: Best Film and Best score at Screentest Film Festival).  Currently Webmaster of Bristol’s DramSoc, Jacob has publicity experience working with the marketing department at the Courtyard Theatre, Hereford, as well as working with various  theatre companies including his own co-founded company ‘2Damascus’, and he is looking forward to the challenge of helping with publicity for Jump Cut Festival.

Jake - Senior Festival Admin

As the Senior Festival Administrator Jake is responsible for both looking after the administrative side of the festival and being Antonia’s right-hand man. While this mostly manifests itself in taking meeting minutes and sending emails, it does mean he gets to be involved in all areas of the festival, which is rather exciting. As this is his first year on the Jump Cut team it’ll be interesting to see over the year how the whole thing works.

Jack - Fundraising Manager

Jack is a Drama student in his first year at Bristol and is in charge of getting all the cash needed to allow the festival to go ahead. Primarily an actor, he is a member of the National Youth Theatre and has worked on projects with NT Connections and Lime Pictures but has some fundraising and management experience after becoming his hall’s President and acquiring sponsorship for sports teams. Jack will be partnering up with local production companies and arts-funding charities in order to secure the all-important finances to help produce the 2014 festival.
